Travel Food Tuesday - Franklin’s BBQ

GOAT BBQ

There’s not much to say about Franklin’s other than that this place is the best bbq i’ve ever had. It’s straight up delicious.

My gout was acting up as soon as I opened our order of brisket, pulled pork and sausages. Piling up the meats on my plate and then jamming on some potato salad and beans…..my god it was an out of body experience. Once that brisket hit my lips I knew I was in a different league of bbq. The Kosher salt and black pepper rub was just perfectly salty and delicious as the juices of the brisket just gushing from each bite. I wish the feeling never ended. Just the most tender piece of meat with a hint of Worcestershire sauce, fantastic.

Pulled pork didn’t disappoint either. It’s rubbed with salt, black pepper, paprika and garlic powder and kept moist in the smoker with apple cider vinegar. Chef’s kiss. Made some tasty pulled pork sliders as well to take me over the edge with my itis.

The sausage was also stellar with the addition of dry mustard. These sausages were made from bits of the brisket and ever other meat at Franklin’s. Much like everything else here. The sausage was a great touch and made a complete meal while watching NFL playoffs.

Overall, this bbq was insanely good. During the pandemic, we were only able to get take out so it was kinda sad we didn’t get to experience the dining experience. Just being able to taste this and have such an out of body experience was dope AF though.

Sal says: Just Eat It (4.7/5)
