Jerusalem Shawarma - Review

Just arrived from YYC

After frequenting Jerusalem Shawarma many times in Calgary, it’s finally in Edmonton. I’ve never been happier, this is the best shawarma hands down.

Chicken Shawarma is wrapped in a thin pita and toasted. All the vegetables are fresh and with toppings like pickled turnips (a must)...you can’t go wrong. I’ve had platters from here before and can say that they are also excellent. The falafel here also is brimming with flavor, I remember having one the last time I went to Calgary. Chef’s kiss.

The owner here at the Edmonton location was also nice to include the baklava for free. The filo was crisp and all the flavor of the butter, honey, and pistachios just can’t be beaten.

Jerusalem Shawarma should receive all the hype that OEB received when it came to Edmonton. It’s going to be the best in the city and should be considered the king of the south when it comes to Meditteranean cuisine. Turquaz will still hold its crown northside.
