Sir Winston’s Fish and Chips - Review

It’s calm bruv

After Grandin Fish and Chips closed down I was in need of a new spot to fill my cravings. We visited Sir Winston’s Fish and Chips last week and it was quite nice.

It’s always nice seeing all the condiments you’re going to ask for on the table and ready to go. Was easy to pour some vinegar on the chips and squirt some tartar sauce on the fish. The fish was cooked perfectly and came with a nice white and flaky texture while the outside was so crispy. I had the haddock aka the cheapest fish. I’ve had halibut before but whenever I compare the two after being fried, it’s almost the same in taste. Halibut is a tad more fatty but haddock just tastes better IMO. Idk save money, and get the haddock. Chips were chips and nothing was too worthwhile mentioning. Other than that it was a solid dish and what you should expect from fish and chips.

The atmosphere of Sir Winston’s obviously has reminders of Old London town across the walls but it’s bright inside and definitely doesn't have that dreary pub feel. So it’s great for the family and whoever wants decent fish and chips. There’s quite an extensive menu including appetizers and also Pies so I'll have to try those next time.
